Never say no to Gd
The Diary of a Desperate man

Matthew 21:28-30
“A man had two sons; and he went to the first and said, “son, go and work int he vineyard today.’ He answered “I will not, but afterward he repented and went. And he went to the second and said the same, and he answered, “I go, sir, but did not go.”

This parable of our Lrd shows that people can say “no” to Gd in more than one way. The first son, when he said “no” meant by it “I dont really want to do it” but because of who asked him, he went and did it anyway. Although JC never said “no” to His father, he was sorely tempted to do so in the Garden of Gaethsemane. He did not want to go to the cross, but went because of Who asked him. When you find yourself in the position of the first son, you have nothing to fear. You may reason that it would be better if this son responded by enthusiastically going when first asked, but obedience without struggle reveals little of your true submission to Christ. Only when you dont want to do it, but do it anyway, do you find your commitment confirmed.

The second son agreed to obey, because he did not want to confront his father with his rebellion. He passively agreed while actively rebelling. JC said the first son, not the second, obeyed the father. From this we l earn that a “no” from the heart is more serious than a “no” from the lips. Gd listens to your prayers with a stethoscope. Irrespective of the impression you create to others, if, from your heart, you have said “no” to Gd, you cannot have a relationship with him. Maybe you and Gd are the only ones that know, but He does know, and if you refuse Him, you can have no part of Him. “he who says, I know him but disobeys his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

Some of our British friends here in shanghai wanted to show us Americans what it looks like to throw a Pah-tea (party)… 🙂

And boy did they do a good job… Learning about the queen and watching the royal family cruise along the Thames River… Eating delicious homemade food and drinking pimms and shouting “God save the queen” It was a fun event! ;).

Thanks Ally, Mickey, and Sarah and the British consulate for making our night so worthwhile!

For this season of life I’ve been learning the importance of being a part of people’s lives… Supporting them in what they do… From 8-6 on a regular basis. From going to a friends recital performance… To a friend dj-ing and restaurant gran opening or my roomies Puma trade show… 🙂

The importance of supporting and being a part of people’s lives has become a priority in my life.

The hard part for me is to let others be a part of my life… And so I invited a couple of my fav people in shanghai to come to my school’s spring musical.

It was childrens day and a couple of my fav year five students were performing and many of my lil year ones were in the audience with us. 🙂

I’m amazed how much love Gd has put in me for my little ones! I’m so proud of them! 🙂

PS updating WordPress on iPhone is difficult hah 🙂
