So, the world expo in shanghai lasted 180 full days. this is an account of how the world expo has made shanghai…
A BETTER CITY, BETTER LIFE. but before i give my account, here are some facts:
website: http://en.expo2010.cn/
Total Visitors: 73.08 million
Busiest Day: 16th Oct
Total visitors that day: 1,032,800
Shanghai did well opening 6 new subway lines and extending many of them to make it convenient for shanghai residents, (i.e. i dont have to take a bus/taxi to get to the subway and then another 1.5 hours to the heart of SH, i can now just walk to the subway station!). Shanghai also promoted many people to more self respect, though some may beg to differ. Shanghai has allowed the people of china to be exposed to the world… its pretty cool to see, even for myself learning about countries ive never hear of like.. Seychelles Africa, or Maldives, or Latvia… The world is much bigger than we recognize.. with so many cultures, customs, and foods, we are living in a very unique time and place. 🙂
